Part 1: Transactional Emails
I designed and coded emails templates that could hook into our backend notifications systems to alert our customers of upcoming orders and transactions
- Provide a simple and easily adaptable design
- Drive customers towards our dashboard products
Transactional emails were no frills. Everything about them was meant to be quick and to the point.
A variety of layouts were explored before I settled on the final design
I worked with backend developers to define variables needed to hook into our systems.
Emails sent to business customers (as opposed to merchants) came with an additional CTA to drive engagement towards our Merchant Directory product
We had a 0% spam report rate for our transactional emails.
Emails were also well received internally, as they helped reduce load on customer service.
Part 2: Marketing Emails
Sales requested templates to help market new merchants to our existing wholesale business customers
- Drive business customers to sign up with the featured merchant
- Encourage other merchants to sign up to be a featured merchant
Different layouts and color versions were created to give Sales flexibility when working with the merchant's photos and logos
A variety of layouts were explored before I settled on the two color palette version with the 2x2 grid of featured product images.
Merchants reported excellent returns from the mailings.
Newsletter recipients were also pleased with the emails, as they had long been asking what other merchants they could buy from using Rumbleship.
