Well, hello there! I'm Jenné Leigh (née Speegle), a graphic designer, web developer and occasional photographer and marketing consultant. I've been using a computer to make art since I was two and coding my own websites since middle school. I love the focus that comes from working on a really complicated project, especially when it requires learning a completely new technique.
Right now, I'm the Lead Programmer for Love Inspired, an awesome company of creative, fantastic women. I'm responsible for coding just about every website we've launched over the past five years (you can check out a few of them here).
I'm based in the San Fransisco Bay area (down on the peninsula in Burlingame if you prefer to be precise about it) with my lovely husband and our butthead cat. I love books (as long as they have nice covers), craft beer (as long as it's sour and fruity) and collecting art prints (as long as I can find more space on the wall).
Here are some nice things other people have said about me:
"I'm completely proud of how fast she's learned things and she is constantly amazing me with her work ethic, her creative ability, and her friendly attitude; just always ready."
–Cathy Olson, my boss at Love Inspired
"Jenne's work ethic is outstanding and she is a perfectionist with a great sense of color and contemporary design, enabling her to create eye catching pieces for a daunting array of projects, including an 80+ page quarterly magazine, display posters, brochures, surf shop clothing designs, website redesign (including coding), special event signage and logos and more. She is quirky and funny and makes great dessert treats too!"
–Jan Stamm, my boss at UC San Diego Recreation
"That's why you're the rock star coder!"
–Kyleen Dye, my coworker at Love Inspired
"Some say she was born coding in PHP.
Some say she sees the world in Pantone color swatches.
Others say she makes a mean Thanksgiving roast.
All we know is, she's called The Speegs!"
–My husband (by way of Top Gear), a totally non-biased source
